Usgs Topographic Map Explorer

This web application was developed to display usgs dem data from the usgs 3d elevation program (3dep). Click the in box dropdown arrow and choose arcgis online. Click on the “trash” button to clear markers from the map.

The maps have scales ranging from 1:10,000 to 1:250,000. The historical maps are part of the usgs historical topographic map collection―a project that was launched in 2011. Both us topo and htmc maps can be downloaded free of charge through several usgs interfaces.
