Triangular Field Gettysburg Map

The angle is near the copse of trees and the confederate high water mark (just out of frame to the left of this photo) on the gettysburg battlefield. The fight to take devils den began here, in the triangular field, around 4 pm on july 2, the second day of battle at gettysburg. It has also been said that cameras fail to work while at the site.

This map is the ‘first’ version of the actual ‘hammerin sickles!‘ map, from back when herm and i were going to do it as a 17″ x 22″ game.when it caught the attention of andy lewis at gmt, who liked the idea so much that he allowed us to expand it into a full 22″ x 34″ map, giving us the chance to show a lot more room to the south in case longstreet allows hood to get frisky. A typical really nice spring day, the park was slammed full of people. With the arrival on the field that day around 5:00 p.m. Just to the west and up above the devil's den there is a spot called triangilar field.not mentioned to much in history or even shown on many maps this field played a great role in the battle.
